Dharma Initiatives is a collective experimental project, developed in a decentralized multi-linear exhibition format, online and offline. Born out of playing with the medium of art documentation we are longing for uninhabited/unlived spaces. The aim of the project is to re-think traditional values of exhibiting/experiencing contemporary art and to dismantle hierarchies by mixing curating with Cinematography, Animation, Graphic Design, Photography and Sound. Our name comes from “The Dharma Initiative”, also written DHARMA (Department of Heuristics and Research on Material Applications), a fictional research project featured in the tv series “Lost”. Our team is:
Christian Roncea (Founder)
Marc Solomon (Video-Editing)
Kexin Hao (Web Design)
Christian Thomsen (Sound Design) & in.finit (Sound Design & FX)
Emir Karyo (Graphic Design & VFX)
Jan Wojda (VFX)
Matas Buckus (Logo Design).
