Dharma Initiatives is a collective experimental project, developed in a decentralized multi-linear exhibition format, online and offline. Born out of playing with the medium of art documentation we are longing for uninhabited/unlived spaces. The aim of the project is to re-think traditional values of exhibiting/experiencing contemporary art and to dismantle hierarchies by mixing curating with Cinematography, Animation, Graphic Design, Photography and Sound. Our name comes from “The Dharma Initiative”, also written DHARMA (Department of Heuristics and Research on Material Applications), a fictional research project featured in the tv series “Lost”.
Our team is: Christian Roncea (Founder), Marc Solomon (Video-Editing), Kexin Hao (Web Design), Christian Thomsen (Sound Design) & in.finit (Sound Design & FX), Emir Karyo (Graphic Design & VFX), Jan Wojda (VFX), Matas Buckus (Logo Design).

shifts which can entail troublesome, unsafe journeys.
(he shortly found this process to be dysfunctional)
Peering through the impenetrable woods, I found transparent glimpses which revealed
submerged structures, tightly shuttered by the ground, for the first times in many
ages, the face echoed the tread of human feet, lingering in a liminal state, an unstable
space in which one may oscillate between old and emergent understandings.
boosted in the middle of the woods – stranded,
subsequently gaining the impression that this place had been deliberately closed and
deserted, rather than overwhelmed by some sudden calamity or by gradual decay.
Image-leaking is permitted - investigate & document, an inanimate gatekeeper says.
a glacial gust of air came from its’ aperture,
the waves didn’t even have to speak with it, they just controlled his pathway from afar
